Happy Canada Day, to all my fellow Canucks!! Here’s a run down of the last week’s activities. So since the concrete work was completed, we had our bother-in-law come to help build the structure.
Day One
Here the boys are “planning”…
Walls are being built…
One wall…
Two walls…
Here come the trusses!
Day Two
Sheeting is up, so now we start on the roof.
Half way done!
As you can see by my face, I don’t like heights. This was taken before my fall…
Break time! A friend invited us to a private function at Fort Edmonton Park. Jacob was in heaven. They have a old school train and a mary go round. Enough said.
Back to work… Day Three and Four
Now off to get ready and hopefully take in some fireworks!

Looks great! I have a feeling I will need to do a project like this in the next couple years. Hopefully mine will go as smoothly as yours seemed to… minus the fall. Ouch!
Thank you. Big projects take a lot of planning and there are always hiccups, so be ready for anything. We had many weather delays and our original concrete crew never returned our calls
Wow, it turned out so great! Congrats on a job well done. The next home owner will be so proud! You’re brave to get up on that roof. I don’t mind heights but it’s the getting down that freak me out!
Brave lady!
I’ve never liked heights and even less now. So glad its done.
That’s a big project for only four days… you must be thrilled!
It was four long days, that turned into looooong nights… We are in the last stages of getting the house done – hopefully in the next two weeks – so its the last push now.
Looks fab – really love the grey and white colour scheme. Well done on getting to the last stages of getting your house done too – the last stages of ours seems like light years away!!
Didn’t realize you were Canadian too – AWESOME!!! The garage is looking great – you guys have done A LOT!!!
Yay Canada! Where are you guys from?
I’m from Bowmanville Ontario but moved to NY when I met my husband. Secretly plotting to get us back home.
Wow! I can’t believe you all got that done in 4 days! That’s efficiency (something my husband and I need to learn something about hahaha). It looks great!
Wow that is quite a project! Great job.
